Thanks to some badly planned management meetings for Jacob's Mom the week before Christmas (not my decision) and a transition to a new position at work for Jacob's Dad (which started December 26 - crazy!), this year seemed to lean more toward the stumbling feeling.
But lest we not forget. Last Christmas Jacob was a sad sad sack - suffering from infantile spasms although we didn't know it at the time. Last year the week after Christmas we were in the ER starting a three month diagnosis and treatment odyssey that we still to this day don't even like to think about.
So this Christmas? This Christmas Jacob is a happy healthy little boy. This Christmas we were gleefully determined to enjoy.... stumbling along the way or not.
And enjoy we did.

There was paper...
~
Hanging out with Grandparents...~
FaceTime with family far away...
~
More paper... (although you had to get it off the boxes first which was a LOT of work)~
Neighborhood lights... (Disclaimer: Not our house)~
And of course... the stuff inside those paper covered boxes...~

Stumbling or not, it looks like a cheerful, happy time for Jacob and mom and dad with his families near and far. And, oh the paper!
