Jacob turned two this month. Two!!
No, we can't believe it. Oh my goodness... Two!
We celebrated at a park with a picnic. And tires. Let's not forget the tires. Jacob and his cousin love tires. Lucky for them, the green movement has brought us recycled tire parks. And that's where we had our birthday picnic.
We practiced blowing out candles for a week which he now has perfected. So much so that for the big moment, Jacob was so excited, he blew his candles out right away (!) so we actually had to relight them and do it again for the photo. Which of course he thought was just as fun as the first time.
And what is this cake-thing, you ask? Well, since Jacob can't eat solid food, he can't eat cake. So we made a pudding cake (in a tire dish, of course). That way he wouldn't miss out on making a toddler birthday mess smashing his 'cake'.... and he could lick his fingers at will.
Also. It was a wonderful excuse for an old school chocolate pudding pie (the adults had their own chocolate pie, safe from grubby lil fingers). Yum.
